Happy Father’s Day 💕 Remembering my dad today. He Happy Father’s Day 💕 Remembering my dad today. He was the most loving, loudest, stubbornest, and most intelligent man I’ve ever known. A lifelong student of quantum physics, and spirituality. Often people ask me how I got into nutrition. It’s because of him. He got very ill when I was 4 years old and died when I was 16 my junior year in high school. I saw him go from Doctor to doctor getting pain medications which he built a very high tolerance to without any real help from doctors. He built a great knowledge about Ayurveda, homeopathy, and nutrition to help himself. Also, when I was 6 my brother got ill with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and was told he’d never walk again. Now at the age of 6, I bounced from hospital to clinic for both my brother and father. The doctors put my brother on a medication my parents saw was making him worse so they took him off against doctors orders. A doctor actually said, “You’re going to kill your son.” I saw my brother get better with physical therapy, nutrition, and homeopathy. My brother fully recovered in 2 years and can now chase after my 2 nephews and 1 nieces. For my dad, he lived longer than expected but I saw what the healthcare system did. They didn’t listen, they didn’t talk about alternative treatments. They didn’t treat the person. They gave him Vicodin, codeine with Tylenol, valium, and morphine, and sent him away. I remember because I got every pill for him when he was in too much pain to get up. Growing up experiencing this is why I treat the whole person. I never jump to medications unless absolutely necessary. I listen. I never judge. I work with doctors I believe in. I continue to study nutrition, microbiome, nutrigenetics, breathwork, and anything I can find.
